Is the Gypsy Hut shutdown???

Last time I drove by the former Poison Room I saw work being done inside, asked some friends about it, they said it was eventually gonna re-open, and I haven't heard anything since then.

That space has been at least four different clubs, bars, etc. in the last ten years. It could be anything once it reopens. It's in a good spot - I don't understand why nothing seems to be able to stick?

I know! I have heard various rumors as to why exactly The Poison Room closed, but I have also heard that while the location is amazing, the rent for the building is insane. So with bad management and an insane price tag Im sure those two things were it's greatest demise.

I do miss that place a lot. I really liked the set up and stage, not to mention when it was used the upstairs portion was amazing as well

I loved the Poison Room. But it was more of a "destination bar". Not a lot of other bars in the area to support the bar-hopping habits of the Cincinnati scene.

Now if the Gypsy Hut would be open early enough for an after work drink....
