If you haven't yet....say "Thank You" to the Vets that you know. Believe me as I sit in a work place that has not mentioned one bit about it today, it will be much appreciated.
Saying you support the troops and actually being sincere about it are two different things.
WHAT IS A VETERAN? A Veteran whether active duty, reserve or retired is someone who, at one time in their lives wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of America for an amount up to and including his/her life.--- Steven C. Schreiner-Veteran, S.E. Asia 68-69 and 70-71
As the daughter, sister and wife of military veterans, I would like to personally throw out giant hugs and kisses to all our service men & women for the sacrifices they've made for and on behalf of America. Our hearts and spirits are with you, no matter where you are!!!
Both of my maternal grandparents were serving at Base Hospital #25 in Allery France at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918 when Veterans Day was Armistice Day.
I am most grateful for the training my grandma received while she served in the Army Nursing Corps.
It came in handy when she had to stitch up both my brother and me on numerous occasions.
Were it not for WWI, they would never have met.
My father served in WWII and was on his way to his POE when VJ day came in 1945. As an aircraft optical instrument specialist (read bombsight tech), he was detailed to the A bomb squadron on Tinian. I am grateful he did not need to do his job over there. He went to law school on the GI bill and met my mother as a result.
Thus, were it not for WWII, they would never have met.

Pretty much. the wormwood is what gives the "opiate" effect. Otherwise its just really bad tasting alcohol.
Absinthe in the U.S. must be Thujone Free to be approved by the FDA. Thujone is the chemical that comes from wormwood.
Is the fake absinthe just alcohol?
I had the real stuff years ago. It was made by the friend of a girlfriend. He was a kind of wizard alchemist. It was kind of opiate like.
