CALL FOR BURLESQUE PERFORMERS

Hell In A Handbasket Zine will be sponsoring a Christmas Fundraiser for Toys for Tots for the 2009 Holiday Season. The “Hell In A Handbasket Ho-Ho-Hoedown”, scheduled for December 12, 2009 will feature a mixture of local crafts/arts, live music and burlesque performances. All proceeds from the show will benefit Toys for Tots.

H.I.A.H. is looking for Burlesque performers for the show, to perform in between band performances. Because all proceeds from the show are going to Toys for Tots, all performers are being asked to perform “pro bono”; however the Handbasket will strongly encourage tipping all performers throughout the evening.

Guidelines:

• Routines should be Christmas or holiday themed and should run the length of an average song, approximately 3 ½ minutes long.
• The date for the scheduled event will be December 12th, 2009.
• Either a video of your performance or live auditions are acceptable.
• Performers must be over 18 years of age, and be available for two rehearsals prior to the actual show.

Submissions will be accepted until November 15th; however early applicants will be given priority, so don’t wait until the last minute.

There will be a limit of five (5) spots available.
